This is so true, C.J. Now is all we ever have and to waste it by looking back or forwards for too long is a sad thing to do. ✨

Well said, Trudi! It’s hard to live only in the Now and occasional trips into he past and the future are okay.

Every smile, every bit of laughter, even tears are all part of the mystery and wonder of our life on this planet. Memories, no matter how fragmented fulfill something needed inside our hearts. To love every bit of our NOW moments, thank you for this wisdom, CJ.

Your title is perfect, CJ. I tend to listen to the music of the 70s, 80s and 90s, beyond that I'll admit I get a little lost, with some exceptions. But the music I return to over and over bring us such vivid memories. I'm a little nostalgic for life before I got sick, but at the same time I've done a lot of great stuff I may not have done without getting sick... Pff. Nostalgia is a great source of writing ideas! I love this piece, CJ! xx

Well stated. Life goes by way too fast. Tomorrow is here and yesterday isn’t finished - at least that’s what it feels like sometimes.

What makes living in the now so damn difficult is the fact there is so much scum and strife around us making life quite miserable at times. Things out of our control, yes. But fact is, it’s a reality.

How can we make it better, Ken?

I don’t know that it’s any one thing that will make it better. It is in part with some of the issues I’m going thru now that simply have me in the crapper. If and when this is resolved things may get a little better. That can still be prolonged a couple of months though.

Some has to do with our past conversations on accepting and letting go…although right now I’m not sure what I’m holding on to.

And like I said, too many things out of our control. You can’t change thoughts and actions of moronic idiots around us in society now. Too few appreciate things like you and I have. Yeah, it’s about getting old and cranky. Things should have a been easier by now, but it seems we’re in the middle of the 3 steps forward 2 steps back process now…ie. the 2 steps back portion.

Maybe it’ll just take some time. Maybe things will straighten themselves out. Optimism is not my strong suit right now. It’s gonna be wait and see.

I hear you. I’m sorry about the things you’re going through right now. (although I don’t know what those things are, or might be). It’s a little like going through the Dark Side of The Universe, or Soul, that Robert speaks of in his teachings.

We can’t change the world and we can’t change other people. The only thing we have any control over and can change is ourselves. If we’re not willing to do that, we have to live with the way things are.

To begin to change ourselves, we have to go within with, say, meditation. We have to break the connection with the outer, physical world and get back in touch with ourselves, away from our mind and emotions.

With all of that said, I’ve stopped watching the news and reading the newspaper. I’m separating myself from the chaos and working on me. God knows, I have my hands full with changing me. 😊

We have to observe what’s going on that’s bothersome that we can’t control and just let it go. That’s a big start.
