There is no conflict within presence. There is no Duality either. You are not split into Mind and be-ing, but present within the moment and Conscious of your Consciousness.
The attention of the person within the Mind is on ideas, thoughts and impressions. Their brain weaves a cloth of loosely connected impressions that they hope will further weave into some form of reality, but in the end it slips through their fingers like water.
Thoughts and ideas are like birds flying around, landing on the tree or bush nearest them. They are never settled and content, only flying here and there, seeking, but seldom restful in the moment.
A Mind-oriented person is subject to emotional states because Ego chases Mind everywhere it goes, trying to assert control. Ego wants power over Mind and its ideas. It wants to control and be in charge. It can’t rest until it thinks it controls the identity of the person and then it wants to control others.
Egos seldom get along with other Egos.
Presence is a place within your Awareness where attention has been surrendered to your be-ing and Mind has been released. It’s where you’ll come if you surrender attention on Mind and its ideas, thoughts and intentions to feel your breath.
It’s letting go of the world created in your Mind and embracing the Feelings within your breath.
Your breath is the full carrier of Consciousness into the body and physical world. It is an energy flow from your be-ing that penetrates the physical world at birth. It’s anchored within your be-ing, but attention to Mind and ideas direct it out into time and space.
In a way, it gives birth to Mind when your Awareness is directed outside of Feelings.
Attention to breath brings you back to the source of Conscious be-ing and puts you at the gateway to your eternal be-ing. As Awareness grows, a separation begins within Consciousness as your identity slips from thoughts back to Feelings by focusing on breath.
Your presence left Duality and conflict and embraced the Silence where your life began.
You exist in two worlds, but are only alive when completely present in one. You can focus on the outer world and maybe find peace and contentment for Ego briefly, but if you bring your presence and attention fully to the other, you will discover Home within.
